In partnership with Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME), IVAS - Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore, The Law Society of Singapore, Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), and Tax Academy of Singapore, we officially launched our first Professional Services (PS) Centre in JB! This PS Centre is the first of 10 centres that ISCA will roll out globally to support businesses in key markets. "ISCA is committed to supporting the growth of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone," said Mr Teo Ser Luck, President of ISCA. "Our Professional Services Centre in Johor Bahru and our partnerships with universities in Malaysia aim to ensure that businesses across both countries prosper, and that a steady supply of skilled accountants will be available to support the Zone's development. We also look forward to facilitating regional interaction between Malaysian and Singaporean professional services firms, fostering knowledge sharing and mutually beneficial relationships.” In Malaysia, we had a sharing session with University of Reading Malaysia and signed two MOUs with Sunway TES CAE JB and University of Southampton Malaysia! Under these agreements, students will get to benefit from dedicated pathways for them to pursue accountancy as a study of choice, including embarking on the SCAQ! Through our efforts, we hope that in time to come, a strong and steady pipeline of professional accountancy talent will be ready to meet the increase in business activities between Johor and Singapore! 💪🏼 As companies expand and grow, they will need to rely on a robust pool of accountancy talent to support them, and we will be ready to answer the call! 🫡 We wrapped up the mission with a networking session alongside ISCA JB members, industry stakeholders and our ISCA Malaysia Team, where our CEO shared the latest happening in ISCA and the Singapore accountancy landscape with our members and stakeholders. 🤝 Exciting times ahead as we continue to grow our global presence and deepen our connections! [Class of 2025 – Leiden-TA Advanced Tax Treaties Programme, 24 Feb to 1 Mar 2025]   And that's a wrap! The Leiden-TA Advanced Tax Treaties Programme concluded today with our participants proudly displaying their TA bears - a small token of their journey with us.   Over the past 6 days, we've explored complex treaty concepts and application, shared diverse perspectives, and built lasting connections.   The enthusiasm and engagement from this intake have made the learning experience particularly rewarding.   Special thanks to Prof Kees van Raad and Mr Siddharth Parekh for their expert guidance and dedication in delivering this programme. 🌟 Bringing Together Professional Bodies, Trade Associations and Chambers via Professional Accountancy (PA) Hub! 🌟 Our 5th PA Hub Meeting held at ISCA House on 27 Feb 2025 was a powerhouse of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and networking! 🎉 We are thrilled to welcome The Law Society of Singapore (LawSoc) into our expanding network of now 24 partners. The group also heard from the representatives of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (SingCham) 中国新加坡商会 , who joined us for the first time 💼 The meeting was kicked off with a warm welcome by Ms. Vera Tan, Head of ISCA Membership & Stakeholder Engagement with exclusive sharing of exciting collaborations ahead, including coming together to support SMEs through workshops and knowledge sharing, engaging youths who are exploring career paths and empowering ex-offenders. Our CEO, Ms. Fann Kor, also shared exciting updates on ISCA’s internationalisation efforts, including the setting up of ISCA Professional Services Centres overseas to strengthen support for businesses.
