  • “It’s not as much about getting rid of a line or a wrinkle. It's about how they feel from the procedure we've offered them.” As double board-certified dermatologist Dr. Sabrina Fabi explains, cosmetic dermatology is not a purely aesthetic field. It is deeply connected to people’s emotions and perceptions. The latest episode of Beauty x Medicine sees our CEO, Flemming Ornskov, MD, MPH, and Dr. Fabi discuss how today’s aesthetic treatments affect both skin biology and patient confidence. Drawing on her deep experience as both a dermatologist and dermatologic cosmetic surgeon as well as an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Dr. Fabi shares her unique insights on aesthetic medicine. She explains how menopause and medication-driven weight loss can drive aesthetic needs, and why longevity is an emerging topic in skin health. At Galderma, we’re advancing dermatology for every skin story. That means taking a personalized approach to aesthetic medicine – informed by discussions with experts like Dr. Fabi. Watch the episode now to learn more from one of the leading voices informing the field of aesthetics. #AdvancingDermatology #BeautyXMedicine

  • The cause of rosacea is still unknown. But thanks to advances in science, we now have a clearer picture of the wide range of its symptoms and how its impact varies from patient to patient. So, this Rosacea Awareness Month, we’re highlighting the importance of comprehensive, individualized rosacea treatment. Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that primarily causes redness, visible blood vessels and acne-like bumps on the face. It can affect anyone and may flare up in response to triggers such as extreme temperatures, spicy foods and stress. While there is no cure for rosacea, symptoms can be addressed with a tailored treatment plan that includes proper maintenance in the long-term. At Galderma, we’re committed to advancing rosacea care through initiatives like REACH – the Rosacea Expert Advice for a Combined and Holistic Approach group. This project, initiated and supported by Galderma, aims at deepening understanding of rosacea and its treatment in both the scientific and patient community – more information here: http://bit.ly/4vYrZ6i In the clip below, learn more from Dr. Julie Harper about long-term management of rosacea.   #AdvancingDermatology #RosaceaAwarenessMonth

  • #AtopicDermatitis is often thought of as a childhood condition, but for many patients, it doesn’t stop there. 📊 Around 60% of children with atopic dermatitis continue to experience symptoms into their teenage years, right at a time when confidence, relationships, and personal identity are taking shape. In this video, Dr Ali Shahbaz, ex-US dermatologist, shares how poorly controlled atopic dermatitis can affect much more than skin, shaping self‑esteem, social interactions, and long‑term outcomes for adolescents in their formative years and beyond. Explore the impact on young people and caretakers in this article🔗 https://lnkd.in/eExBgHgT  #AdvancingDermatology

  • Did you know that more than 415 million people worldwide live with rosacea? However, despite its prevalence, this common, chronic condition is easily overlooked by both patients and physicians. This April, we’re marking Rosacea Awareness Month by shining a light on this complex skin condition, its symptoms and the impact it can have on self-confidence and quality of life. Rosacea is characterized by persistent flushing and redness, visible blood vessels, and bumps on the face that can resemble acne. Thankfully, with proper care and personalized treatment, these symptoms can often be managed effectively to help people feel more confident in their skin. At Galderma, we believe that everyone’s skin is unique, and we each have our own skin story. We spoke with Dr. Hilary Baldwin, M.D. and Pr. Jose Luis Lopez Estebaranz about strategies to help people go “all the way to happy” with their skin when it comes to rosacea. #AdvancingDermatology #RosaceaAwarenessMonth

Thank you to our faculty and attendees for an engaging and impactful experience. #AdvancingDermatology Adam Friedman Maxwell Sauder Sonja Ständer Matthias Augustin Aaron S.
