The awards celebrate innovative research in the field of DHC, evaluated by a global jury of industry and academic experts. As we approach the end of 2024, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an extraordinary and successful year for NODA Intelligent Systems. We've experienced historically highest growth, forged alliances with industry giants like Kamstrup and Microsoft, introduced groundbreaking digital solutions in the thermal energy sector, and expanded our global presence. Notably, we are digitizing the district heating systems of the second largest city in Sweden and in London - reinforcing our position at the forefront of energy transformation. This year has indeed been a whirlwind of hard work, energy, and determination, and the success wouldn't have been possible without an exceptional team that consistently rises to the occasion and delivers outstanding results for our customers. This week, the results of the E-Flex project - focused on creating a radically more flexible energy system - were presented by our innovative customer, Kraftringen, and trusted partner, Energy Opticon AB. NODA´s leapfrog AI thermal software is an integral component of the E-Flex delivery, including: - Demand Side Management for peak load management, and - Smart Building Management for energy-saving measures and indoor climate improvements. - All powered by NODA Intelligent Platform providing enterprise capability to rapidly contextualize vast amounts of data and leverage innovative AI solutions to enhance energy workflows. We are thrilled that the proven NODA solution will now be scaled across Skåne as a blueprint for a modern energy system. This effort begins with an expansion delivery for Region Skåne and the simultaneous onboarding of Eslövs Kommunala Bostäder. On 21 November, the Swedish-German Business Day 2024 took place at the Nordic Embassies in Berlin, focusing on collaboration for a safer Europe. To summarise the discussions, we talked about: - Sweden’s NATO entry and strategic innovation partnership with Germany in security, defence, and space are crucial for cooperation. - The triple helix approach – collaboration between academia, industry, and government – is essential for developing resilient technologies. - Dual-use items for civilian and military applications are vital for European peace and security. - Sweden and Germany can collaborate in space, including science services, satellite networks, spacecraft operations, and rocket tests. - The decentralised nature of renewable energy increases cyberattack risks, necessitating resilient energy networks.
