Grateful to Swedish Medtech for inviting Michael King to speak at the Regulatory Summit 2025 in Stockholm last week. Mike shared insights on the evolving global regulatory landscape and emphasized the importance of leveraging automated solutions to stay ahead of new requirements worldwide. He highlighted that obtaining market clearance in the EU and the US is just the beginning. Yesterday, IQVIA Nordics hosted a fantastic kickoff event in Stockholm with a lineup of insightful presentations and discussions, including key achievements and highlights from 2024 presented by IQVIA’s Nordic GM Stefan Ohlsson followed by IQVIA’s Tim Sheppard, GM of UKI & North Europa, sharing the strategy and priorities for 2025. Angela McFarlane shared impactful examples of our collaboration with governments to advance public healthcare, while local experts Rico Lepzien, PhD and Frida Bayard provided valuable insights on bridging clinical research and real-world evidence generation. Additionally, we were honored to welcome external speakers, including Microsoft’s Nasim Bergman Farrokhnia and Emelie Antoni from Astra Zeneca, who provided an overview of the current state of the Swedish life science industry followed by an insightful interview conducted by Katja af Klercker. The event concluded with an inspiring talk by Colin Moon on cultural diversity, setting the stage for an evening of networking, fine dining, and celebration.

TEHDAS2 joint action, the foundation for the harmonized implementation of EHDS, held the first stakeholder forum in 2025 in Warsaw, Poland. The event provided opportunities for experts engagement among various stakeholders in the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem. Yesterday, we hosted an inspiring KickOff event in Denmark to launch 2025 with enthusiasm! The event began with a motivating New Year's address by Ditlev Moltke Moltke, followed by a reflection on the previous year and an overview of EMEA priorities presented by Stefan Ohlsson Ohlsson, General Manager of Nordics. Local teams then shared their expectations, priorities, and excitement for the upcoming year. Despite being an internal gathering, we were delighted to receive external inspiration from Jesper Kofoed Damm of Genmab, who shared insights from a recent cancer study conducted by IQVIA Nordics. Wrapping up the day, we looked forward to the opportunities ahead in advancing healthcare in 2025.
