Kenneth Earl Burrell, mais conhecido como Kenny Burrell (Detroit, 31 de julho de 1931) é um guitarrista de jazz norte-americano.[1]
Carreira
[editar | editar código-fonte]Burrell fez a sua primeira gravação em 1951, com Dizzy Gillespie. Após se mudar para Nova Iorque em 1956, gravou com uma série de grandes nomes do jazz, tais como John Coltrane, Paul Chambers, Benny Goodman, Gil Evans, Stan Getz, Billie Holiday, Milt Jackson, Quincy Jones, Oscar Peterson, Sonny Rollins, Jimmy Smith, Stanley Turrentine, e Cedar Walton. A partir de 1951 começou a liderar seu grupo próprio.[2][3]
