He works as a bouncer at a watering hole, earning extra cash by allowing customers to punch him in the jaw for a fee - Tommy is famous for never getting knocked off his feet in over seventy career fights in the ring. He's also never gotten over his son's death and now is dealt another body blow. His estranged wife KELLY has been diagnosed with cancer and has no insurance to pay for her treatment. After wallowing in despair and anger Tommy realizes he needs to step up and be the man his wife always thought he could be. Tommy knows only one way to make that kind of money. Fighting. Tommy lobbies to fight top heavyweight wrecking machine DION JETT in a tune-up fight before his title bout. Because of his massive appeal in Detroit the promoter agrees. Having not fought in 5 years Tommy knows that his reflexes and foot work are shot. But one thing that has never left him is his Granite chin.
