Er hat nur 46 Chromosomen, wo eigentlich 47 sein sollten. Daniel ist behindert. Das macht ihn, in einer auf das "Normalsein" eingeschworenen Gesellschaft, zu einem schwierigen Kandidaten, einem Außenseiter. Er hat meistens das Gefühl anders wahrgenommen zu werden, nicht als gleichwertig. Auch sein Selbstbild ist vom "Anderssein" geprägt. Alltägliche Situationen werden für ihn durch die Blicke der sogenannten "Normalen" zur Tortur. Er wird immer sofort gesehen, aber nur selten erkannt. Nur sein einziger Freund kennt sein Problem. Und er beschließt ihm zu helfen... This is Daniel. Daniel is different. He's missing something. He only has 46 chromosomes, where 47 should be. Daniel is handicapped. In a society committed to "being normal", this makes him a hard case, an outsider. He often has the feeling of beeing different, of less value. Even his self image is characterized by his "beeing different". Everyday situations are torture for him - from the perspective of the "normal" people and the way they look at him.
