The two are taking in tax consultant Henning Brehmer, who has been suffering from Crohn's disease for six years and is admitted with severe pain and rectal bleeding. Henning puts on a brave front in front of his wife, Lisa Brehmer, because he doesn't want to be a "nursing case." He has everything under control. Lisa is drained of energy by his refusal to accept help. He also blocks various treatment options from the doctors. Ivo senses how much Henning and his family are suffering from the disease, but he can't get through to him. This sparks a special ambition in the young resident: There must be a way to help Henning. Wolfgang Berger tries to woo the hospital group's controller, Geraldine Vogt, but she rejects his request for an increase in staff, accusing him of poor management. Unfortunately, Wolfgang accidentally breaks her finger as a result. Matteo is supposed to fix the complicated fracture. But Geraldine quickly complains about Matteo's typically unfriendly manner. When Berger tries to mediate, he gets caught up in a big lie. Ben convinces Leyla to spend her upcoming vacation in Sweden instead of boringly staying at home.
