An incredible saga, written with the blood of their fathers and the tears of their sons. In Corsica, we don't joke about the honor of « La brise de mer ». « La brise de mer » is the most powerful criminal gang in France for the last 40 years, synonymous with summary executions, the robbery of the century in Geneva, and complicity in Africa. Synonymous also with gambling clubs, bars, and nightclubs. La brise de mer is a terribly Corsican and completely universal story. How did a gang of young, « petits bourgeois » from Bastia manage to take control of Corsica? The key is political. For forty years, the French state, obsessed with the island nationalism, neglected the fight against this nascent mafia. And allowed it to corrupt Corsican society. The documentary series "Vendetta" tells the story of how French history blew in « La brise ». It also recounts how the poison of hatred ultimately corrupted France's first mafia. In the late 2000s, a fratricidal war broke out among the mafia bosses. The founders were shot dead. Casanova the seducer, Mariani the brute, or Guazzelli the notable: they left behind a fortune, but also debts, debts of honor, and, among them, their father's revenge.
