The world mourns her sudden, mysterious death, but one man sees her corpse as something far more than a tragic loss to the silver screen. At first, appearing to the viewer as an opportunist and mentally unhinged fan, a man breaks into the mortuary, we learn he is an obsessed occultist and he isn't there to admire her fame-he's after the intricate, arcane carvings etched into her flesh. Legends whisper that these markings granted her power beyond imagination, a secret she took to the grave. Desperate to claim this power for himself, he meticulously copies the symbols onto his own body, carving them deep into his skin. But as the ritual takes effect, he realises too late that the power wasn't meant for him. The symbols reject him, twisting and contorting his body in agonising ways poisoning him until his heart gives out, leaving him a lifeless husk on the cold mortuary floor. As the final moments unfold, the camera lingers on the once-dead movie star, now standing over his corpse. Her eyes gleam with an unnatural light, an unnerving smile forms on her face.
