Unable to help the strange woman they just ran over, they decide to bury her in the woods and keep the matter between themselves. Riddled with guilt and haunted by dark dreams, Nerissa's life seems to be falling apart. She cannot eat, she can barely sleep and strange visions blur the lines between nightmare and reality and let Nerissa face the woman she ran over. Only that the strange woman appears not to be of this world and she has one message for Nerissa - she was sold by her best friend Aoife in a pact with the faerie world and now only has seven days left to live. And with Aoife seemingly unfazed by the murder the friends committed, Nerissa falls deeper and deeper into a the web of a modern day fairy tale that seeks to cleanse or burn her through intense pain and suffering.
