Unbeknownst to him it's a desperate crime, involving his own brother. Cold ashes bring no peace as a fanatical, brilliant insurance investigator homes in on the origins of the fire and a murder that occurred in its aftermath. With everything at stake, the prodigal son steps in and engages in a life and death game of chess with the formidable investigator and the police.
