However, the life of little Egea Haffner goes on like a fairy tale. There is the villa of her paternal grandparents, the Haffners, and the jewelry shop in the city center where her father, Kurt, works. In the spring of 1945, the war ends. In Istria, the "Titini," the army assembled by Marshal Tito, take over.
