The patient ...See moreDesigned to strengthen the voice through use of singing exercises, doctors say the brain responds in extremely positive ways to music, and SongShine Vocal Therapy uses music to switch channels and forges a different pathway. The patient tries to sing, the vocal mechanism is strengthened and a "retraining" or speech recovery process begins. SongShine welcomed these veteran performers back on stage and gave them an opportunity to perform again, in a scripted concert adaptation of the Broadway musical "Carousel." Elliot Lubin, a singer and dancer from New York City, who was in the original Broadway cast of "Cats," now has Parkinson's. SongShine turned his life around.
