Sandra was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her left hand a while ago. When Marc tells the optimistic roller basketball coach that the completed chemo had not been able to contain the cancer as hoped, but that the tumor had spread, the last bit of confidence disappears from her body. Fearing that she might lose her hand, she cancels a life-saving operation, which Florian, unlike Marc, cannot accept. Encouraged by Dr. Matteo Moreau, Florian is working on a curative treatment for Sandra. Will Florian manage to bring light to the patient's horizon? Meanwhile, Florian's persistence leads to an atypical development in his career. Dr. Rebecca Krieger is visiting the JTK and is exuberantly happy. Much to the delight of her sister Dr. Julia Berger and her surprised father Wolfgang Berger. He knew nothing about her visit and his daughter is suddenly behaving so differently. Florian also has to realize this when he receives an unusually stormy greeting from Rebecca. Wolfgang tries to find out more from Julia, but he fails. He has no choice but to confront Rebecca directly. Mikko is supposed to prepare the assistant doctors Tamar and Olli for an operation for Ben, and the youngsters are all fired up. But during the planned operation preparation, Karin suddenly interrupts to find out who is responsible for an error in an ECG.
