Through the eyes of a historian, we look at the occupier's actions aimed at reducing the capital to the role of a medium-sized German city; we observe the heroic efforts of the City Board under the leadership of Julian Kulski, who, after the arrest of Stefan Starzynski, organizes a fight to save the lives and property of Warsaw residents; saving national cultural treasures. There are also forgotten and memorable names of the Management Board's employees, who often paid the highest price for their dedication to the city.
