Unfortunately, due to humanity's diminishing interest in religion, the messenger god, Hermes, has been tasked with laying off two of them, and gives them forty-eight hours to prepare before he comes to evaluate their work and decide which two of them will lose their jobs and their immortality as goddesses. This results in a chaotic frenzy of one-upmanship, toxicity, and mental breakdowns as the Fates vie with each other to see who will keep their job, and who will become mortal and eventually die.
