In 2001 master tailor Renate Houska took over one of the last pleating workshops in Austria, which has existed for almost 100 years. Her workshop in Piaristengasse specialises in the production of pleats, covered buttons and fabric clasps, and she adds folds to fabric with passion and dedication. A wide range of variations on the pleat provide working material for costume designers, lampshade manufacturers and tailors. This is film no. 01 of 8 short film portraits. See less
