Directed by Mike and Camilo Gutier following the loss of their father, the film centers Sofía's eternal search for her lost love as she begins to question whether her happiness was real or simply a long, strange dream. "When we die, we become a memory, we live only in the memory of those who loved us. We move from the material to the dreamlike, because we only live in dreams of what was or what could have been." Roaming far and wide against a cinematic landscape, a dreamlike realm unfolds around her, giving life to a situation distanced from reality. Reflecting on the fragility of our emotions when forced to live through death, Infraleve explores the power of memory for preserving the life of those no longer with us, and the support networks that enable the eventual transition towards acceptance.
