He lives with his girlfriend, Tara, who is near her breaking point with doting on Jason's unpredictable behavior. Tara books Jason an appointment for an experimental cure for PTSD; diethyclidyne. Jason sees Redding, a former combat medic and sponsor for diethyclidyne. Redding explains how the drug operates by severing the emotional connection to traumatic memories without changing the memory itself. He eventually convinces the reluctant Jason to take the drug. Jason returns home a new man- strong, confident, and apparently cured. But with his emotions numbed, New Jason shows just how little he needs a doctor, a girlfriend, or anyone else telling him what to do and when to do it. As Tara fears for her safety and Redding plots to use Jason for his own ends, New Jason yearns to finally break free and to assume control of his own fractured mind. See less
