She is said to have shot Sandro Kubitschek in the heat of the moment when he visited her at home and tried to threaten her. Public prosecutor Gregor Mertens is doing everything he can to get Nele out of the matter as legally unscathed as possible. He forbids the team from interfering in the case any further. Paul, Jakob and Julia, however, have no intention of sitting still. They firmly believe that Nele would never be capable of such an act. In order to be able to research undisturbed, they move their headquarters to Mechthild's house, where Nele's mother soon makes a strange discovery... Kubitschek's business partner Baz Lehmann has an alibi and is still waiting for Kubitschek's debts to be repaid. His wife Miriam is preparing her escape and is scared to death when Paul knocks on her door. At least she knows who has been doing business with her husband recently. When the secret investigators find ammunition at a shooting range in the forest, thanks to an illegal investigation by Max, that was also used to shoot Nele, it becomes clear to them that Nele is being framed for a huge mess.
