Their dreams of a quiet life deeply connected to the land are quickly deflated by the hard realities of farm work. When the farm's well runs dry, they hire unscrupulous local driller Jay (Sam Caggiula), who keeps demanding more money to find the water they need. As Brain and Oksana's water and money both run out, their marriage is tested. And their search for water becomes the search for the eternal but long-lost source of love that sustains us.
