In this modern world they have no followers and are just seen as mythology. Because of this, a few Gods have moved to America, the land of opportunity, in hope of getting a new start. When they get there, however, they notice that the problem isn't yet solved. Jerry, who has just robbed a restaurant, is running away from the police. While hiding in the forest, he meets one of the Gods: Artemis who thinks he has come to worship her. She calls him her first follower which makes the other Gods get jealous.
