By means of a multi-layered narrative structure of reassembled material from Georgette's estate, which includes all kinds of records (diaries, letters, notes in books she read) and documentary material (plans, sketches, photographs), I tried to create an image of this woman that may give a sense of the ambivalence of her personality. Georgette's disruption produced a house that was like a skin for her, a shell that protected her - from the world, from herself, from the compulsion to function in the system. Written by
