This documentary is based on the autobiography of Yannis Papadopoulos, a member of the local band of Kerasous, the ancient city and seaport currently called Giresun, in northeastern Turkey. During the Pontic-Greek Genocide, the band was "recruited" in order to play marches during the attacks - It comprised 13 Greeks and three Turks, all of whom were eventually slaughtered.
