Yaritza, a young Wayuu teacher working in the alphabetization program in a shanty town in Maracaibo, teaches indigenous children and adults ho to read and write. A Wayuu priest introduces her to a middle-class militant, Carlos, who wishes to work with her community. Their relationship will teach both about the challenges faced by the Bolivarian revolution in today's Venezuela and will change the way they look at reality and their own lives. It's a film made from within the indigenous communities to shed light on how the political process taking place in Venezuela is affecting their lives, told from a very personal perspective.
