The mistress feels it too, but is desperate to hold onto the man she now loves. Whilst working, she draws him pictures to express her love, like she used to do, and places them in his pocket for him to see. Today, however, when she replaces the previous picture, the wife has left something of her own for her to find, and when she does, the mistress crumples, and folds, onto the floor.
