Val agrees with Tony. A confrontation is inevitable. Janet must meet with him and maintain her composure throughout. Only by really listening to what he has to say can she and Tony ever have any hope of containing the situation. Bob interrupts their conversation. He admits that Janet was right when she visited him in Denver. Jackie took the children and left him. She cannot take being a suburban housewife, He is in shock and not at all capable of dealing with the situation. He's happy for Janet -the pregnancy. He hopes things have improved for her. Not yet. But, she will see Kip. Janet phones Kip and arranges a meeting. He hangs up and goes back to a table at the lodge, where he is with Wendy. Janet had no idea. His office gave her the number where to reach him. Kip tells her that Janet has agreed to see him,. They're all nervous. Wendy says Janet can't be trusted. He must be on guard because she will pull out all the stops. Wendy shyly wonders if Kip is worried about seeing Janet because he might still have feelings for her. He tells her not to worry. Don't be insecure about his past relationship with Janet. Back at home, Wendy smugly lets Janet know that she was with Kip when Janet called and knows about their scheduled meeting. She then brings up their previous conversation regarding Kip's motives -that he only wants one thing. In that respect, Wendy is not Janet.
