Poverty, crime and chaos pose major problems for the often helpless administrations. Finding a secure, distinguished and independent neighborhood presents a growing challenge for the urban middle class. Surprisingly, the solution for all sorts of menaces appears to be the same worldwide: electric fences, high walls, armed security guards and CCTV. The higher income class draws back into private residential enclaves that evolve all over the world. If you belong to those who can afford it, Gated Communities seem to offer a life 'ON THE SAFE SIDE'. The gates of three secluded, high end Gated Communities swung open for this film. We meet Brenda, a real estate agent in Johannesburg, a city that's shaken by crime. R.K. takes us beyond the walls surrounding his home, on a tour through Indian politics, fighting for the improvement of Bangalore's chaotic infrastructure.
