Marco first appeared on TNG in the first season episode "The Arsenal of Freedom" as a holographic version of Captain Paul Rice, where he shared the screen with Jonathan Frakes, Denise Crosby, and Brent Spiner. He returned in season four in "The Wounded," where he was one of the first people to portray a Cardassian, alongside Time Winters and Marc Alaimo.
