Jack and his brother Bob attend her, and she tells them how her parents were lost in a sandstorm. Jack and Bob both fall in love with Constance, and Jack wins her admiration. Bob spies upon their love-making. Constance really loves Bob, and when Jack makes this discovery, he writes Constance a letter in which he tells her that her heart is his brother's and yet she accepted him out of gratitude.
