It also includes newsreel shots of General Douglas MacArthur and the then-Major Dwight D. Eisenhower at work in the Phillipines in pre-war days. Current segments include sequences of revived activity, the difficulties brought on by economic instability, and President Osmena's efforts in the United States on behalf of the Phillipines people.
