As an Unborn, Zen must fulfill her missions in a short amount of time and return back to the mystical river that leads her back home to Ngale before the portal closes. On her second ever mission, Zen is sent to rescue a depressed musician Kwame from killing himself. Zen finds herself falling for Kwame and allows herself to be seduced by him and the pleasures of carnal existence. When Zen tries to return to her ethereal abode, she discovers that the portal is closed and she has no way of going back to Ngale. Lost, she tries to make a life for herself with Kwame but she descends into a deep darkness, discovering the misery that comes with being human. See less
