She finds that her family is at feud with Henry Allan's clan. During the fight among the mountaineers, Henry is captured and taken inside the cabin of Molly's uncle to be used as a decoy to bring the other men back. A shot has struck Henry and affected his memory. Taking advantage of Henry's loss of memory, Jim, Molly's cousin, induces Henry to shoot at his own kin. Jim then confesses the trick he has played on Henry to demean the man, for he is jealous of Henry. Henry is later freed, and is exiled by his own clan for disloyalty. It is then that Molly tells of her cousin Jim's act and of Henry's innocence of any wrong intentions. Later, Molly, the last of her clan, joins the Allans. Written by
