Marion loves Ransom, who though in moderate circumstances, has good prospects. Socially ambitious, Mrs. Heath prefers Tavish, who has convinced her that he is wealthy. Her father wants the girl to marry the man she loves. The dominating mother finally triumphs, and Tavish leads Marion to the altar.
