Guttenborg tries to console, but Pyrus is crushed with grief. At the office, Bertramsen has forgotten to lock the door, and Miss Brahe discovers his 34-year-old secret. In return, she promises him a real home-cooked dinner later in the day. Fortunately, Freja has returned to the gnome's home, and Guttenborg invites Christian IV himself to breakfast. But he is far too busy beating the Swedes in a big naval battle, so he is sent back home. When he returns, he has a patch for his eye and a small gift of almonds.
