Jose, a trainer, who abuses the animals, is reprimanded by Ida. Jan Krooert advises that two handsome lions have just been trapped, and Ida penetrates the jungle to see them. While in the jungle Ida's horse goes lame, and she is attacked by the trainer. She climbs into a tree supplied with some torches, while the animal trainer is overcome by a ferocious lion. In the nighttime Ida signals with her torches. The light is seen from afar by Fred Hartley, a hunter. The signals are exchanged, and finally Hartley traces Ida to her place of safety. Later, the two reach Ida's home. It has been love at first sight between Fred and Ida. He tells the girl, "You're some trainer; do you think you could train me?"
