His followers considered him a specialist in the field of bringing up the children and the Church of Scientology expects parents to follow Hubbard's instructions. The children are considered adults in small bodies, better known as Thetans (souls) in small bodies. The Thetans have left their previous mortal frame (that is when a person dies) and have taken residence in a new frame, and that might just as well be the one of a child.
