The simple life is not so quiet after all for the sheriff has received instructions to arrest for horse stealing a band of gypsies which is moving in his direction. He, of course, coming to perform his duty finds Miss Nealon and her friends in full possession of the camp. He does not recognize them in their disguise and refuses to believe that they are disguised. The whole party is lodged in the county jail. Mr. Nealon is summoned from his office and he considers it a good joke. After his daughter's friends are released they journey back to the Nealon mansion where, to their surprise, they find that the real gypsies have been enjoying the simple life and have departed with enough of the expensive house furnishings to enable them to continue it for a while.
