Accordingly he is sent away to school to be educated among the city chaps. Hiram after a time decides to pay him a visit and a trip to the city is planned: such preparation not only sets the whole house ago, but almost upsets the neighborhood. Hiram at last starts, after much trouble his wife puts writing paper, etc., in the bag so he would be sure and write; his arrival in the city; finds location in a hotel that seemed larger than his farm; decides to keep his promise and write to mother; does so; goes to mail it; makes that fatal mistake and gets the fire alarm box; is arrested. His son receives a note telling of his trouble; son engages lawyer and rescues him. Not wanting to further pursue the object of his trip he hikes for the tall and uncut, and delays the anticipated visit indefinitely. An intensely interesting comedy drama. Written by
