REMUNERATION

- Work performed under an employment relationship shall be compensated. (Art. 242 of the Labour Code)
- Women and men shall have the right to equal remuneration for equal work or work of equal value. (Art. 243 of the Labour Code)
- The employer shall be obliged to pay the agreed remuneration for the work done. (Art. 128(1) of the Labour Code)
- Labour remuneration shall be paid in cash. (Art. 269(1) of the Labour Code)
- The gross salary consists of:
- A basic salary determined in compliance with the legislation in force and the wage system applied;
- Additional labour remuneration laid down in the Labour Code, the Ordinance on salary structure and organisation, in another statutory instrument or in a collective agreement;
- Other remuneration, defined in a normative act or in the individual employment contract, not covered under items 1 and 2.
- The basic salary may not be less than the minimum wage.
- The Council of Ministers shall decree Minimum wage for the country (Art. 244(1) of the Labour Code).
- Every employee is entitled to paid annual leave.
