  • Lendo Sweden's Country Manager Mikaela Grännby and Commercial Manager Claudia Gomez got published with an important opinion piece on Swedish news outlet Di.se today. Summary in short: Over-indebtedness is a serious issue that must be addressed. However, the government is taking the wrong approach by requiring banking licenses for credit intermediaries. Credit intermediaries should focus on helping consumers compare offers and protecting their right to make informed choices. Exclude Credit Intermediaries from the Banking License Requirement Allow credit intermediaries to be regulated under the Ministry of Justice's proposal instead. This approach protects consumers from aggressive lenders while enabling impartial credit intermediaries to help them find the bank offering the best terms.

• Meet our Lendo AB colleague Robert Thornberg, working as a Team manager in Stockholm. In this short interview he shares his journey starting at Lendo 7 years back. Robert, tell us your story in Lendo and what you do on a daily basis?  - I started at Lendo in August 2017 in the private loan department. After a short time, I moved to mortgages, which I really enjoyed. However, my heart has always been with private loans, so when an opportunity came up, I returned to the private loans department, this time as a team manager. Today, I work alongside my colleague Jesper, and together we manage a team of 15 employees. My role is to coach my team in their daily tasks, help them continuously improve, and ensure they feel good about coming to work. I have regular meetings with them to review their performance and progress each week. Additionally, I collaborate with Jesper and Gustaf to anticipate potential challenges and analyse our monthly results. What do you like most about your role? - What I love most about my role is its variety. You wake up on Monday not knowing exactly how the week will unfold. It's full of highs and lows, which keeps things interesting. I also really enjoy working with my co-workers and team—we have a lot of fun together. I especially love it when someone comes to me with a problem, and I can help them solve it. It definitely feels rewarding to see my team succeed, as it shows that I'm doing something right. How would you describe the Lendo team in Sweden?  - In my experience, it's a very flat organisation where you feel like you're part of an exciting journey forward. It's a highly positive group, full of knowledge, and I have a great time working with everyone. Autumn has begun, are you excited about any particular upcoming autumn activity? 🍂 - I'm looking forward to being able to wear trendy autumn clothes again. Also looking forward to going for long autumn walks with my wife and dog 🐶

  • Meet our Compricer AB colleague Richard Bergman, working as a CIO in Stockholm. In this short interview he shares his journey starting at Compricer 2,5 years ago, back in January, 2022. Hi Richard, tell us your story and how come you started working in Compricer? - I have a history of working with Schibsted-owned companies, including Compricer and Lendo Group. My journey began at Blocket, which was acquisitioned by Schibsted in 2004. At Blocket I served as a COO and spent several years abroad in Singapore and Philippines leading projects, before returning back to Sweden. Upon my return, I started working for hitta.se with Business Development, at that time hitta.se was a Schibsted-company. After a brief tenure at an automation startup, I finally found my way to Compricer. Here, I discovered an exceptional team of experts within a wholesome business environment, enriched by a level of entrepreneurial spirit rare in well-established companies. What do you do on a daily basis? - As the head of Product & Technology, I lead a highly motivated team of professionals. My role is diverse, encompassing product development, innovation, and chief technical responsibilities. We're positioned at the forefront of numerous promising opportunities. A key focus is transitioning our business from a Search Engine Marketing (SEM)-dependent acquisition model to a more sustainable Personal Financial Management (PFM)-based service. Additionally, leveraging Artificial Intelligence is a priority. Our goal is to significantly enhance our capabilities in helping users save money and reduce expenses, which is especially critical today as many face the challenges of high interest rates and increasing household costs. What do you like most about your role? - I love the dynamic and open culture within our Product & Tech and management teams. This environment empowers us to swiftly transform innovative ideas into reality, minimising bureaucratic delays. Our ability to quickly turn promising concepts into product launches—sometimes in days—is unmatched and represents the best productivity I’ve experienced in my career. Moreover, I am particularly excited about the possibilities with AI. Compricer is ideally positioned to leverage AI, and we are on the cusp of launching our inaugural AI-driven service. How would you describe the Compricer team? - From my very first day, I was greeted by a team of genuinely interested and knowledgeable colleagues at Compricer. The culture here is robust and deeply ingrained, something that is consistently reflected in our ACT surveys. This solid foundation contributes significantly to our collaborative and innovative work environment. It is summer right now, any fun plans you are looking forward to? - Lendo Group Awards at Ellery Beach House of course! We can’t wait to show what we’ve done in AI!🤖 Fredrik Persson Elin Bäckman Johannes Edh Per-Jørgen Dam-Nielsen Mikaela Grännby Jean-Philippe Suhard Christina Sahlberg Ashkan Sarkeshik

  • Meet our colleague Yegauneh Baharikhob, a Product Designer in Copenhagen for Mybanker and Lendo Denmark part of Lendo Group. In this brief interview, she shares her journey since joining Lendo Group a year ago, back in February 2023 ⭐ Hi Yega, tell us your story and why you started working in Mybanker & Lendo Denmark? - Prior to joining, I’ve been working as a UX designer in large international banks, gaining a lot of experience in the financial sector. My decision to join the team was partly because I wanted to work within a smaller, more local team, where everyone is a natural part of your daily work life, and no one is further than a couple of steps or a quick phone call away. The main reason I joined is that I wanted to work with a finance product designed to inform and assist users in making the best decisions, regardless of where they are in life. I find it exciting to take something complex and make it easily accessible and understandable for everyone. What do you do on a daily basis? - My day-to-day consists of a little bit of everything. I review our products and how we communicate them with our Product team, or discuss different implications and find suitable compromises with our Developers. The main thing in both scenarios is to understand the different user needs in any given context and our processes to create the best and most effortless journey for our customers. This usually entails some iteration as no design is perfect in the first (or second) trial. What do you like most about your role? - I like many things! I enjoy the variety, from talking with different stakeholders to treating each product uniquely. How you communicate and present the purpose of any given product depends on who you are designing it for, which means it's never stagnant. I appreciate being challenged on a daily basis, having to understand complicated processes and translate them into tangible journeys. It’s a great feeling once something you’ve worked on becomes available for everyone to use. That definitely keeps me on my toes. How would you describe the Copenhagen team? - Driven, open-minded, and energetic. We have a great atmosphere with genuine interest in each other and what we do. We have fun at the office, which is a huge motivation. We are a quite social bunch of people - not to say that we all are (or have to be) super extroverted, but given that your colleagues are some of the people that you spend the most time with during the week, it’s a huge plus that you know how to have fun together and can build good relations 😀 Marlene Danielle Goodhew Jacoby Lea Sivertsen Johan Malmsten Simon Christensen Dagfinn Teigland Per-Jørgen Dam-Nielsen Mikaela Grännby Carl Brynielsson Philip Sebastian Merrild Archibald Jens Uhrskov Hjarsbech

  • Meet our Lendo AB Sweden colleague Julia Reinola, working as a Performance Marketing Manager in Stockholm. In this short interview she shares her journey starting at Lendo almost four years back. Julia, tell us your story in Lendo and what is your role?  - I Joined Lendo during a growing phase in November 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. Despite feeling a bit challenging to get to know new colleagues only via screen, the marketing team welcomed me in the best way possible. During my time in Lendo, I’ve got the chance to grow a lot of my knowledge by mastering new marketing channels and later on, by expanding my responsibilities with new markets and new products. My role is within performance marketing, simply explained as digital marketing with measurable results. What do you like most about your role? - I like that I have a lot of opportunities within my role, where I have the trust and responsibility to achieve our goals by creating the best strategies for the marketing channels I work with. When working with performance marketing I play an important role in impacting customer acquisition and growing the business. This is satisfactory as I can directly see the effect that my work contributes with. How would you describe the Lendo marketing team in Sweden?  - We are a team of humble specialists with diverse backgrounds. We have fun and it’s enjoyable to see my team’s strong dedication to developing Lendos marketing across all the different ad spaces. Extending beyond my own team, I appreciate how we are open and reachable across different functions in the company. Ideas, knowledge and support are easily shared across teams and roles. I feel like our ideas are always welcome whether it’s something totally new or challenging the ways we are currently working today. This fosters a culture where me and my colleagues are fearlessly striving for ideas and new projects with the aim to succeed. Do you have any fun plans during the spring?🌷 - I will travel to Belgium during the Easter holidays. Which I look very much forward to as I have a big interest in beer. And Belgium surely has a long history of brewing excellent beers. I look forward to visiting breweries during my visit and learning about the history and techniques of beer making in Belgium. But also to indulge in unhealthy amounts of fries, chocolate and Belgian waffles 😋 Zhenggang Yu Feven Habtu Guled M. • Meet our Lendo Norway colleague Beenish Iftikhar, working as a Head of Product and Insight in Oslo. In this short interview she shares her journey starting at Lendo Norge six years back. Beenish, tell us your story in Lendo and what you do on a daily basis?  - I joined Lendo in Oslo exactly six years ago. We were a small team of passionate people that I am super happy to see grow. I feel so blessed to have been part of Lendo’s journey of growth and have learned so much over the years. When I started I dove deep into every area of the business and set up the insights function for Lendo Norway from scratch. I love that we have built a data driven culture and people can have data and insights easily available to them enabling them to make informed decisions. I now head both Product and Insight and am excited to build the future of Lendo through new products, while growing and continuously improving what is our core. What do you like most about your role? - My favourite part of the job is definitely the people that I work with. I particularly enjoy working with my team that I think are amazing talented people that challenge me to grow every day. I also love that I get to learn a new thing every day. Building meaningful insights has allowed me to learn about all parts of the business and I continue to get challenged by new things. How would you describe the Lendo team in Norway?  - I think the Lendo team in Norway is a formidable force. They are extremely smart, motivated and passionate people. They are not afraid to challenge and express their opinions. They are pushing and expanding boundaries everyday. At the same time I think the best part is that they are empathetic and kind people that want to grow and #WinAsATeam. They are always keen to help, and truly care about building the best solution from the customer point of view while growing the success of our partners and the company itself.  It is an honour and a privilege to work with them everyday. What's your favourite thing about Oslo? - I am originally from a big and very populous city and so Oslo was a little different for me. What I really love about Oslo is that it manages to be a fun cosmopolitan city without being overwhelming and isolating as big cities tend to be. The fact that you can still find nature so close to the hustle and bustle of the city is so refreshing. I also highly recommend Oslo libraries. 🙂 Kristoffer Gallefoss Roar Bjærum Dagfinn Teigland Johan Malmsten Carl Brynielsson Marius Yri André Restrup Strand William Arveng Camilla Martin Zhenggang Yu Mikaela Grännby Marlene Danielle Goodhew Jacoby
