“Over the last decade, the concept of a ‘smart city’ has materially evolved from a utopian dream to a tangible reality for urban planners,” according to a recent Forbes article. 🚀 But as we all navigate the rise of #ai, this poses an important question for cities: does a city have to be AI-powered to be considered a #smartcity? Our Founder and CCO, Bart Vuijk has some thoughts on the subject of AI in urban strategy. “I think we should emphasize a balanced approach. The Urban Innovation Leadership Forum was a fantastic gathering of urban innovators from Europe, USA and the Middle East … and in the middle of all the activity was our Founder and CCO Bart Vuijk! The event was hosted at Baruthane in a historic area of Istanbul. It was a fitting venue for #innovators to put their heads together: a former military industrial site transformed into a bustling urban area in an ancient-yet-modern city.
