This digital card offers exclusive discounts at attractions, museums, tours, and must-see sights. For extra convenience, it can be upgraded to include 1, 2, or 3 days of unlimited public transport with RET. The Rotterdam City Card is an essential tool for giving visitors the warmest welcome while showcasing the best of the city. But more than that, it’s about creating local impact and contributing to a future-proof economy for Rotterdam: ✅ Spreading visitors across the city, from the center to Hoek van Holland. ✅ Highlighting both Rotterdam’s icons and hidden gems. ✅ Helping more local businesses benefit from tourism. ✅ Promoting sustainable travel by public transport. ✅ Supporting social initiatives like Sam& voor alle kinderen and Rotterdamse Uitdaging 🟢, ensuring locals with smaller budgets can also enjoy the city. Alderman Robert Simons had the honor of being the first to use the card and experience Rotterdam like a visitor. The Rotterdam City Card is available online and at Rotterdam Tourist Information locations at Central Station and Hoek van Holland. From entrepreneurs to artists and business leaders, women in Rotterdam continue to shape the city's future ❤️ As we celebrate International Women’s Day, 2025 also marks the Rotterdam Year of the Woman. Fifty years after the United Nations declared the first International Women’s Year, Rotterdam will highlight and celebrate the voices, networks, and contributions of women in our city from March 8th to December 10th. The Rotterdam Year of the Woman addresses the historical underrepresentation of women’s roles in the city. This initiative, born from the Vrouwen van Rotterdam network founded in 2023, aims to highlight, strengthen, and build connections for women in Rotterdam. Spearheaded by historian Marjan Beijering and designer Anouk van Mil, and supported by the Gemeente Rotterdam and numerous local organizations, it’s made possible by a growing collective of women-led initiatives. Throughout the year, a dynamic program of events, discussions, and initiatives will unfold, including cultural performances, exhibitions, business panels, and community gatherings. After yesterday’s official opening at the city hall, the program continues with special events hosted by our valued partners Bibliotheek Rotterdam, de Doelen, Theater Zuidplein, Luxor Theater, LantarenVenster, Maritiem Museum Rotterdam, BIRD Rotterdam, CBK Rotterdam and Theater Rotterdam. ♻️ Circular transition in healthcare, here’s Rotterdam’s approach By 2030, circularity will be a way of life, paving the path to a fully circular economy by 2050 in Rotterdam. This means re-imagining how resources are used across industries, from construction to healthcare. One example is rethinking waste in the city’s hospitals, where valuable materials are often used once and then discarded. At Erasmus MC, every ICU patient generates an average of 17kg of waste per day, most of it is non-recyclable, including disposable gloves and medical packaging. That’s why Nicole Hunfeld, Chief Sustainability Officer and Hospital Pharmacist of the Intensive Care Unit at Erasmus Medical Center, initiated the Green Intensive Care project a few years ago. [ Dutch summary below ] Rotterdam Partners is part of the Trade and Innovate NL (TINL) network, a Dutch collaboration of national and regional public partners that help Dutch entrepreneurs and companies with their international ambitions. Our collective efforts are focused on sustainable growth and strengthening the Dutch international competitive position. The TINL network had a very successful 2024 with 194 international trade activities ranging from trade missions to trade fairs and incoming missions.
