MicroAlign pioneering Fiber Alignment solutions with NXTGEN Hightech 🔬 As part of Semicon 09 within the Dutch NXTGEN Hightech program, we are working on optimizing the alignment of optical fibers in fiber arrays, achieving sub-micron precision through an innovative micro-electromechanical system (MEMS). This system enables simultaneous core-based alignment of each optical fiber, making MicroAlign the only company worldwide capable of this level of accuracy. Recent progress and achievements: ⏺️ Developed and operationalized the 250 µm pitch alignment tool ⏺️ Produced the first lab versions of fiber arrays with 12 channels with ±100nm pitch accuracy ⏺️ Optimized actuator technology for enhanced alignment precision ⏺️ Established a strong foundation for supporting demanding applications like photonic and quantum computing.
