🔦 Spotlighting the B Keeper of the Month #8 The B Keeper is the main contact person between a B Corp and B Lab. This month's B Keeper is Marlot Kiveron from Otrium. How Impact is Made: "The fashion industry produces an increasing number of garments each year, resulting in an estimated 92 million tons of textile waste. Through our platform, we give thousands of unsold fashion items a second chance to be bought, worn and loved." Challenge Ahead: "From picking items in our warehouse to packing and shipping them, we are continuously improving our processes and lowering our environmental footpring. In 2023, we introduced our packaging machine which lowered material usage and shipping volumes." Calling on Others: "While no system is perfect, the B Impact Assessment ensures that every team within an organisation understands their role, takes meaningful action, and tracks progress effectively, making sustainability a shared commitment. Last week, we threw a B-Corp Brunch with the O-team to celebrate our B Corp certification! 🥂✨ We were lucky to have Tim de Broekert from Tony's Chocolonely drop by to share their seriously inspiring journey toward a fairer chocolate industry. 🍫 As a fellow B Corp, Tim dished out some golden nuggets on driving positive change and making a real impact. Tony’s is scaling their mission through their open chain model—spreading best practices so the whole industry can do better. In other words: moving from Chocolonely to Chocotogether—how sweet is that?! We’re feeling fired up to keep pushing for change with our brand partners, supply chain partners, and customers.
