Indo-Dutch contacts go back more than 400 years. Diplomatic ties, established in 1947, are strong, friendly and multifaceted. High level mutual exchanges have provided impetus to the multifaceted partnership between the two countries. Water, Agriculture and Health (WAH) are 3 priority sectors of cooperation besides technology and innovation. The Netherlands has the largest population of Indian-origin people in the EU. Embassy looks after the welfare of the Indian community in the Netherlands providing Consular services. It provides visa services to Dutch and other nationals intending to visit India. The Gandhi Centre (Indian Cultural Centre) looks after the promotion of Indian art and culture in the Netherlands.

He encouraged startups to join Startup Mahakumbh Startup India in April 2025 in IN. Eindhoven City Wethouder Stijn Steenbakkers, Gemeente Waalre Mayor Marcel Oosterveer as well as representatives from various business facilitation agencies spoke about the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Brainport Eindhoven Region.
