Rethinking cardiac aftercare: from hospital to home. Meet CardioWorks, a groundbreaking Provincie Gelderland-based startup founded by prof. dr. Robert Jan van Geuns and Lars Naber, Msc. PharmD. Together, they are transforming how patients recover after a heart attack — moving part of the Coronary Care Unit into the patient’s living room, without compromising safety or quality of care. Their innovative Connected Care platform combines medical expertise, remote monitoring, and personal support to help patients recover at home, while easing pressure on overburdened hospitals. To bring this bold concept to market, CardioWorks needed investors who understood their unique proposition: delivering care as a service rather than selling a product. That’s where Briskr came in: - Coaching the founders on their pitch - Connecting them to the Business Angels Network Nijmegen (BANN) - Creating the right setting for meaningful discussions with investors. Yesterday Briskr attended the ‘Samensmelting’ event from Lifeport@ together with entrepreneurs like Ann Marie Murphy, Odyssey Europe B.V. and Desiree van Maasakker, Jobanizer from our network. This event was different! Not an afternoon with powerpoint presentations and a beamer, but different guided walks and activities plus a fire ceremony in the beautiful Museumpark Orientalis in Heilig Land Stichting.
