JA Malaysia (Junior Achievement Malaysia) JA Malaysia, a member of JA World Wide a global Non Profit Organisation, that is committed to grow and execute JA Programs on financial literacy, work skills and entrepreneurship throughout Malaysia, to provide Malaysian students with a better understanding of business knowledge, while exposing them to skills that will enhance their employability and career success. Students are the business leaders of tomorrow and will be setting the standards of skills, creativity, innovation and integrity in corporations. It is thus imperative that, on the onset, they develop a keen understanding of financials and business. JA Programs globally reach more than 10 Million students annually in more than 100 countries, with a network of more than 465,000 volunteers. JA Malaysia targets to reach approximately 30,000 students in 2018.

The Young Enterprise (YE) Penang Annual Showcase 2024 marked an incredible milestone—35 years of inspiring and nurturing young entrepreneurs! This year’s event brought together 18 secondary schools from Penang and Kedah, alongside 4 primary schools participating in the Junior Enterprise (JE) program. Over the past 35 years, the YE Program has impacted 14,820 students, 494 batches, 77 schools, and partnered with 52 corporate organizations. As 2024 concludes, JA Asia Pacific reflects on a year of innovation, collaboration, and milestones in youth education and empowerment across the region. EDUCATION AND PROGRAMS: - In partnership with Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF), the 14th JA Asia Pacific Company of the Year Competition hosted by Junior Achievement (JA) Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur featured 21 Student Companies from 12 markets showcasing entrepreneurial solutions. - The 18th FedEx Asia Pacific/JA International Trade Challenge Finals hosted by Junior Achievement Singapore engaged over 4,500 students from 10 markets, emphasizing global trade education. - For Global Money Week, JA collaborated with HSBC and BNY, highlighting the importance of youth financial literacy through interviews. - Bloomberg's new APAC Women in Finance program held in Singapore engaged students from Japan, India, and Singapore, inspiring women leaders in ESG and Fintech with mentorship from senior professionals. - In collaboration with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement and JA Europe, the Global Innovation Camp during Asia Pacific Maritime Week highlighted career opportunities in the maritime industry. - The JA SparktheDream Social Challenge, in partnership with FWD Insurance, celebrated youth-led initiatives addressing societal issues. - JA Asia Pacific partnered with JA Worldwide and INJAZ Al-Arab/JA MENA to modernize the JA Company Program with a "Fixed, Flexible, Freestyle" approach, emphasizing project management and master classes. BUILDING COMMUNITY: - Regional leaders gathered in Kuala Lumpur for a Senior Leadership Team Retreat to discuss strategic plans, AI integration, and program modernization. - The inaugural Asia Pacific JA Alumni Conference in Bali, hosted by Prestasi Junior Indonesia Alumni, united regional alumni to reflect on their contributions to the community. - In partnership with Prudence Foundation, the Cha-Ching Financial Accreditation (CCFA) Teacher Recognition Conference honored 15 educators with the CCFA Top Educator Award and showcased financial literacy best practices. - At COP29 in Baku, JA Asia Pacific, alongside JA Azerbaijan, emphasized youth roles in sustainability. Alumni initiatives were featured in the JA Short Video Showcase. - The Third EECOLE Roundtable by OECD - OCDE in Jakarta, JA shared efforts to integrate AI into entrepreneurship education, highlighting work by Prestasi Junior Indonesia. - JA Asia Pacific cultivated partnerships beyond grant-giving with The Knowledge Society (TKS); Clinton School of Public Service; and McKinsey & Company; including original research with Kolibri - Accelerating Impact to map sustainable impact pathways for the Cha-Ching program. These achievements reflect the support of partners, Members, alumni, educators, students and their families.
