Annural Khalid

Islamabad’s Annural Khalid started her career, like many aspiring artists, by finding an audience for covers of hits—in her case, Pakistani pop and Hindi film smashes by artists including Atif Aslam and Arijit Singh—on social media. That was in 2020. By the middle of the decade, the Urdu and Punjabi singer-songwriter, who has been singing since she before she started school, had already become one of the most streamed artists in her country. Khalid’s impressive discography takes in solo material, such as the 2021 single “Mujhe Le Chal” recorded for the Urdu version of the popular Turkish TV drama Meryem, collaborations with producers such as Rovalio and Umair and duets with singers including Abdul Hannan and Maanu. Of these, her biggest hit to date is “Jhol” with Maanu, a chart-topping heartbreak ballad from Season 15 of Coke Studio Pakistan released in 2024.
